愿懺文的啟示

一貫弟子每天最主要的修行功課,是早(午)晚的叩首獻香,這是甚為平易的修行功夫。

尤其吾人歷劫以來,無數次的輪迴輾轉,滿心的污垢塵埃,一身的罪孽過錯深重,若不藉著早(午)晚獻香徹底懺悔,誠誠實實面對彌勒祖師痛改前非,老老實實的改過自新,實在非常辜負上天的慈賜大道普傳,祖師的鴻慈護庇,師恩母德的加被,使我們這些身心不淨,性靈矇昧的餘蘊弟子,能幸受真傳,祇要弟子肯發心願清口茹素,即可賜列門牆,共享彌勒家園之和樂宗風。

因此聖賢常以「反省、改過、自新」篤自砥礪;例如大禹聖君「聞過則拜」之謙德,顏回「不貳過,不遷怒」之聖德,曾子「吾日三省吾身」之自省功夫,子路雖勇而魯莽,但以「聞過則喜」之美德受人敬重,子貢說的好:「君子之過也,如日月之食焉。過也,人皆見之;更也,人皆仰之。」明白告訴我們,一個人絲毫的過錯雜念,不但騙不了祖師,更騙不了自己心中的彌勒祖師,既然不可欺,更改、懺悔、自新是最明智之舉,子曰:「內省不疚,夫何憂何懼。」故白陽弟子當藉著每天早(午)晚獻香機會徹底懺悔,改過自新,以此精神感動上天,期以清淨,自在,慈悲之德性,真心常註天盤,與諸天仙佛菩薩同列仙班。
